Alpha Gamma Xi Sorority Inc. was founded January 1, 2014 in Convington, TN. The founders of Alpha Gamma Xi Sorority Inc. envisioned a sorority determined to serve the veteran community and support its members through continued guidance, development and sisterhood. What sets Alpha Gamma Xi apart from other organizations is the dedication to service to the community at large, the veteran community and the continued dedication of its members to commit to the programs and initiatives set forth by the founders.
Alpha Gamma Xi provides programs and initiatives to the community and its members for the sole purpose of enriching the community. Service members of the United States Armed Forces around the world have been touched by sexual assault, domestic violence, and suicide, and Alpha Gamma Xi seeks to educate the veteran community through our outreach initiative S.W.A.N.S. Supporting Women And Nurturing Survivors.
Alpha Gamma Xi Sorority Inc. hopes to further make a difference in the lives of veterans and other service members through the bonds of our 5 Pillars of Purpose; Service, Sisterhood, Stewardship, Scholarship and Solidarity and continue our enrichment of those around us with our veteran initiative S.H.E.R.O. Sorors Helping to Excel and Restore Others.
No woman veteran should be left struggling or alone, and through its programs, and its 5 Pillars of Purpose, the sorors of Alpha Gamma Xi aspire to be the example among military sororities that others seek to exemplify.

"Solidarity does not assume that our struggles are the same struggles, or that our pain is the same pain, or that our hope is for the same future. Solidarity involves commitment, and work, as well as, the recognition that even if we do not have the same feelings, or the same lives, or the same bodies, we do live on common ground."

5 Pillars of Purpose
Alpha Gamma Xi Sorority, Inc., members have 5 Pillars of Purpose upon which we uphold ourselves. Each of the 5 Pillars of Purpose represent excellence for which our members strive; Service, Sisterhood, Stewardship, Scholarship and Solidarity.
We Strive to empower women to excel in their service to their countries, as well as, their service to their communities through mentoring and community service initiatives
The bond developed and shared through membership to this organization will serve to aid its members in accomplishing professional and personal goals both within and outside the military sector.
Our ethical responsibility as women of the US Armed Forces is to protect and serve. Through the S.H.E.R.O. Program members will assist women veterans that are displaced or in need through philanthropic initiatives.
Our responsibility does not end with our service members and our veterans; we also have a responsibility to the family that supports them. Our scholarship initiative provides funding to children of veterans, assisting them in fulfilling
their educational goals.
The final of the 5 pillars is the foundation which Alpha Gamma Xi was built upon. We strive to be united in thought and actions to achieve the goals of the Sorority.
